Our lovely horses available to be seen, tried, and/or purchased:
Norman 15hh stout 7 year old registered Haflinger gelding
Sweet funny adorable stout & versatile boy!
Norman is a sweetie pie with a personality like a golden retriever. He rides English, western, drives, and rides bareback. He is fun for the whole family! He has many talents, whether it be for dressage, western, foxhunting, low level eventing or pony club, CDE, pleasure driving horse, therapeutic riding, working equitation, etc., all of these are within the realm of possible job roles for sweet Norman. This cute stout cherub is built like a tank and has smooth, comfortable WTC, picks up both leads and is not lazy and is fun to ride. Norman is great in water and will get a jumping tune-up at our place. No soundness issues or vices and has no blemishes. He gets along great with everyone, has very good manners, is good for vet/farrier/dentist, is UTD on all care and can be worked barefoot or shod. He is beefy enough for the husband but also a great size for the whole family and about as cute as can be!

We have several really nice horses in our program who are not yet available. I do not have a timeframe on them yet, as the day-to-day work of a training and sales stable is immense, so it is hard to say when exactly we will market them. But my intention is to have them ready this Spring if time permits.
They are some draft crosses, warmbloods, QHs, heights are 14.1hh through 17hh, mares and geldings. All are superior quality and worth the wait. A few are really spectacular. If you are interested and looking but willing to wait, you can still fill out a form and instead of putting a horse's name, put "Future horses" that way I will know you are interested in one of those.

Notes on private sales, policies & expectations:
To tell you about me and my program, all of the horses we list are lovely animals that I have personally and professionally sourced, evaluated, handled, ridden or worked, and I take pride in. They are all members of our community at our farm and are treated as such. The background I have particularly enables me to select quality horses, and I work very hard to provide this service. If a horse has vices, quirks, significant blemishes, or an unsoundness, that info is mentioned in the description for the horse and during discussions. If a horse is not a good fit for my program, he or she is not offered in our program or is offered with issues mentioned. So please understand all the horses you see have been professionally sourced and lovingly and professionally maintained as a service for buyers and out of love for the horses. Our "type" for a horse is an animal who is sound, has a good mind and a forgiving and friendly nature, possesses athleticism and pleasing conformation-- a quality versatile sport horse-- and our many graduates are out there doing wonderful things. While any horse can act up or react, our horses generally do not have vices either under saddle (like buck/rear/bolt/spooky/hot, etc) and no vices not under saddle either (no cribbing or weaving etc) and are mentally and physically sound. Most of our horses are amateur-friendly horses, or have the capacity to be if green. I write full-length ads describing each horse so that you can get a feel for their temperament. That is the type we tend to carry - quality good horses who have been carefully selected for consideration!
Of course, that does not necessarily mean something we have in stock will work for you, but if not, a future horse may. My program is intended to be a celebration of the horse, first and foremost. I believe in all the horses I offer for sale and each one has been chosen by me because I see something special in this horse and I am excited by the prospect of finding their special person. A lot of hard work and expertise goes into selecting these horses for the specific purpose of being a solid amateur-friendly mount. That doesn't mean they lack talent for the pros! It means they are selected specifically for temperament as well as attractiveness.

Horses are sold on first come- first serve basis. Sorry I can not offer to hold horses for free. That does not mean you will miss out on a horse you are truly interested in. I will work with you. I just cannot hold horses for free, not in today's world. Thank you for understanding. Sometimes our horses go QUICK and I have no control over exactly when a horse gets sold to a qualified buyer. I do my best to notify people when a horse they were interested in is no longer available. If you're scheduled for an appt later than the current week, I recommend we check in with each other a couple days before the appt to make sure the horse is still available prior to your appt.
Pricing:
I do ask that if you are coming to look at a horse for sale, the price of the horse is within your budget. If that is not the case, please let's have that discussion before your appt, so that no one's time is wasted. Please note, I am happy to have that discussion with you, I do prefer to have it before you view the horse, which I think is very fair to us both.
"OBO" means "or best offer", which means a competitive offer, which is sometimes asking price. OBO does NOT mean "negotiable" or how negotiable. For that, you need to have a discussion with me which includes your offer and terms you are offering (such as how quickly the sale is made*). If I am openly negotiable on a horse, it will say "negotiable" or "best reasonable offer" by the ad, or you can ask me to find out. I won't mind or be offended, my only expectation is that you are shopping within your budget or, you've mentioned to me if you are not.
*Sales are not final until the horse is paid for in full with bill of sale signing ownership over to the buyer. You can keep the horse here for however long is needed.
We can usually assist with delivery if needed, and we work with reputable and affordable shippers who ship nationwide and to Canada. You can also fly a horse across the country for a reasonable rate.
If you are looking for a GREEN PROSPECT on a budget, let me know. I come across them but I don't get them because I assume people don't want green.
Appointments: Please be seriously looking to buy if you schedule an appt, if you don't yet have everything in order that is OK we can help you, but please be serious.
Please allow for 70-90 mins to view 1 horse. On average that is the time it takes and what I have blocked out on my schedule. It is important you get enough time to view and ride the horse if you are planning to come in person. Our nearest airport is Dulles. and you can use a rideshare app to reach the barn, or rent a car. Often appts go late, which I accommodate because I sincerely appreciate your efforts to connect and see the horse and I want you to get the time you need here. But if you don't feel a connection with the horse, you won't hurt my feelings by just telling me so as soon as you've reached that conclusion.
If you have special needs for your appt, please let me know in advance. If you are a beginner or have not ridden in a long time, please let me know. All riders must have a riding helmet. Please do not wear jeans unless riding western (jeans tear the saddle seams). Please wear boots with a heel and not sneakers, crocs, or slippers. We do not allow flipflops or open toed shoes near the horses, for safety of your toes. You can bring your own saddle. We also have tack to use here. Trainers are very welcome to attend with their clients.
We have an indoor arena, so appts can be done in inclement weather usually. All guests are to sign a liability waiver prior to handling horses. Buyers are forbidden to enter the stalls or paddocks of any horse other than the one they are coming to see, and during the time of their appointment, after I have greeted you and showed you the horse. We have privately-owned and sales animals on the property as well as livestock housed on adjacent properties and guests do not have permission to enter those areas or interact with any other animals other than the one(s) the appointment is for. Thank you for understanding.
For sight-unseen buyers, you can Facetime with horses for remote appts if you are a serious buyer who cannot make it in person.
Horses who are not yet for sale - I cannot promise you that you can see them. They don't have a price on them, for one. For two, I take pride in spending the proper amount of time it takes to accurately represent horses, so if the horse isn't yet listed it may mean I haven't finished evaluating it (which may have nothing to do with the horse and more to do with my workload), and I want to do that so I can post all its info and also price it accordingly. It takes a lot of time and work to get horses on the market and I typically don't rush that process. The reason I post pics and videos before they are available sometimes is so people can follow along in their posts and thoroughly check out the horse and have a preview as well. That way they know what is coming up available. That said sometimes I don't post a whole lot, it just varies depending on what is on my plate.
I appreciate the interest very much and if you are interested in 1 that isn't yet listed, please keep following the Facebook page because I will list it there.
Other services:
Yes we can assist you with finding shipping, board, training, equipment, etc. We can board or train your horse or you if needed or wanted. We provide very high quality expertise across a large variety of goals and disciplines. Do you want feedback on your riding or to take a lesson on the horse? I am always happy to offer you a riding lesson, yet no one has ever asked me to give them a paid riding lesson on a horse they potentially intend to buy, which I find odd but I do respect it. I would be very excited if someone did want a lesson during their appt time with the horse. Why not let me help you?
I am typically a humble person. But I will tell you one thing about me and my training - I am so confident that I can pinpoint, train, and instruct with effect that I will gladly teach or train someone for FREE* if they can prove I have not helped them (or tried to) in some pretty fundamental way. I've spent my whole life in horses and I could be going around the country giving clinics, but instead I choose to focus on my training and sales program, where I get to spend every day with the horses themselves. So if you want or need help, it's there.
*Training or instruction refunds issued at time of service otherwise I assume you're satisfied.
Videos:
Everyone wants the perfect video to analyze over and over, but instead of perfect videos, our videos are CANDID. This means that contain imperfect moments on purpose, in order to show you what the horse is really like. This also means you need to conclude that the horse is just being a horse if he has a sloppy transition or something like that here or there. I will not apologize (or extrapolate) for including imperfections on our videos. And this is because I believe that horses, ourselves, and life in general, are full of imperfection-- and it is up to us to decide what we are and are not comfortable with and what works for us or not and what we are willing and not willing to work on. For my horses, I want buyers who really love that horse- and are willing to work with him based on who he is and where he is in his work. I take pride in offering really nice horses and I want to find them people who appreciate them. They deserve that grace and empathy and care. (We all do!)
If you want to see videos, know that all videos are posted to our Facebook page. New videos will be posted as we get them and not sooner than we can.
Qualified Buyers: We look for qualified buyers for our animals who will provide the animal with a good, caring home.
We reserve the right to refuse a sale of an animal to anyone for any reason. A qualified buyer by my definition is one who will provide a good home for the horse and treat me and my animals with respect and common courtesy. Buying for resale or a program is perfectly OK, and I support other professionals.
Communication: For Q & A sessions and longer topics I MUCH prefer phone calls over long texts or emails (I get migraines from the screen and am typically working long hours as well). I will respond to texts and emails, of course. But anything involving a lot of back and forth needs to be a call, thank you for understanding. I put a lot of info right in the ads so please read them fully to make sure you see the info you are looking for as well. If you leave me your # I will call you, or please fill out a form.
Thanks for reading and happy shopping! Hope one of our lovelies is the one for you and you the one for him/her! <3

Coming up:
Economical models:
Kermit: grandma-safe sweet quiet cutie-pie, 3/4 Morgan 1/4 Belgian draft, 15.2+/15.3hh handsome bay with cute face., 8 years old. Kermit is the sweetest horse and I want for him to go to a sweet loving home! He would not hurt a fly and is a gentle boy who radiates kindness. He rides English and Western and he is well-broke to drive, and he will drive for just about anyone. He arrived in the middle of winter with his winter coat in already and so he is currently VERY hairy. We are going to let him shed out some of that hair and aren't in a hurry to list him - probably in late March. He seems like an ideal fit to teach lessons on or be used as a family horse or a kind buddy for any kind of riding or driving you want to do. He is a gentle soul and I really believe he wants to help people, I can see him also being a therapy horse.
He is a really nice mover at all 3 gaits, with a big overstep at the walk, a comfy trot and an elastic canter. He is barefoot and sound, not on any maintenance. Great manners and gets along with everyone. I know it's funny he is a family horse but I can also see him doing some eventing, because of the way he moves and how agile and balanced he is. He can be ridden on trails with ease. He would be great to be used as a guest driving horse or let him pull the carriage at weddings.
He has a super sweet face with a big white snip and a couple white socks, and he is the lighter bay color you see sometimes from the Belgian draft getting mixed in. He sticks at just under 15.3hh and has a medium build with a good length of neck and a super cute face. He isn't a super thick draft cross but he is hardy and also very unique, he is definitely a unique horse one of a kind old soul. Coming up probably in March once he loses the mountain goat hair and we finally have better weather to show him in.
Corduroy: 15/15.1hh chocolate bay QH gelding, 8 y/o (2017): been used for all types of ranch work out west and ridden by adults & children. Has a 1-handed neck rein and also rides English! Great canter and a beautiful, sweet boy with PERFECT manners! The kind of horse everyone wants in their barn. Lovely boy, he is perfect to ride English or Western for most any discipline.
Corduroy has a strong western background and is especially suitable for western incl barrel racing, reining, working cattle, etc. and also trail riding. Not lazy, responsive to cues and has some get up and go but no buck/rear or spook. Corduroy has no soundness issues and no vices and he has clean legs with no blemishes and has nice big feet. He has a very appeasing build and could do a variety of disciplines with his looks and movement. He does not like having his mouth hung on, other than that he is pretty simple and straight-forward. He is a very nice-looking QH without the hefty pricetag IMO. Unfortunately I do not have his papers so he sells as grade.
Available in early Spring
Fergus: adorable Belgian cross gelding, HEFTY solid built, he is over 16hh, 16/16.1hh and 6 years old, palomino and 6 years old, rides and drives both single and on a team.
